Meet our Priests

Saint Demiana Church is blessed by two amazing shepherds: Fr. Philopateer (left) and Fr. John (right). This dynamic duo bring their gentle lovingkindness to every interaction, their wisdom to every sermon, and their joyful sense of humor to our yearly summer camp!

About

We are a warm church family in Jacksonville, Florida, rooted in the ancient Christian faith passed down from Saint Mark the Evangelist. Named after Saint Demiana, a beloved Coptic martyr known for her courage and devotion, our church is a place of prayer, worship, and deep community life for all ages. In 2020, our congregation faced a devastating fire that destroyed our former church building—but through God’s grace, resilience, and the love of our community, we relocated and continued forward stronger than ever. Today, we gather on Old St. Augustine Road to worship, serve, and grow together in Christ’s love, committed to faith, fellowship, and caring for one another and our neighbors.
